Executive Director

The Oregon Timber Trail Alliance (OTTA) is looking for an energetic, passionate, organized, collaborative community leader to be our new Executive Director for our dynamic and growing organization.

This position will take on an active leadership role with our board of directors, volunteers, supporters, and land management partners to implement the organization’s vision and mission along the Oregon Timber Trail corridor. 

Compensation

Range is between $70,000-$72,000 for a 32-hour workweek. This is a contracted (1099), 32 hours per week position working a flexible schedule with mutually agreeable core working hours, some weekends and in-state travel (travel is subject to reimbursement upon approval). 

Responsibilities

Implement and assist in developing and fine-tuning the organization's business plan.

Coordinate with board members and consultants to develop and implement a development and fundraising program focused on the long-term financial viability of the OTTA. 

Manage, develop, and exercise financial responsibility for the organizational budget and finances, including determining current and future programming funding needs.

Oversee program development and implementation, including special events and trail development/maintenance. 

Write and submit grant proposals. 

Manage working relationships with consultants and community partners.

Participate in coordinating volunteer events, such as work parties. 

Develop and manage land manager agreements. 

Oversee the organization’s customer relationship management (CRM) program.

Participate and actively engage in board and committee meetings. 

Manage organizational registrations and accounts. 

Coordinate with board members and consultants to direct the organization’s social media and other communications.

You are detail-oriented and organized – your calendar and scheduling programs of choice are your best friends 

You are a proactive problem-solver and are always on the hunt for processes, procedures, and behavior patterns that could cause problems in the present and future.

You enjoy working in environments that are the opposite of monotonous. You thrive on doing a variety of tasks throughout your workday. 

Other Requirements

The person in this role must be physically able to lift and carry 50 pounds or less. They must also be able and willing to work outside in adverse weather conditions, physically navigate rugged terrain, and travel by foot, vehicle, and bicycle to reach work sites. 

The person who takes on this role must also be able to provide the following proofs of insurance before their start date: 

Comprehensive general or commercial general liability insurance for not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence and $1,000,000 in the aggregate. 

Automobile liability insurance including non-owned and hired autos for not less than $500,000.
